Time goes by, and the technology is evolving rapidly. We are surrounded by smartphones, tablets, etc. We have to admit that they offer a lot of useful things.
Some of the things I have noticed are applications for music education. There is quite a lot of them already. Here are just a few of them that caught my eye:

simple virtual flashcards that help you memorize basic musical symbols

Musical Work Out - a Memory game with musical symbols.

improving your sight-reading skills

mostly for improving sight-reading skills, so that the notes can later be played in a timely manner

We have attended the musical fair in Frankfurt again. It was really nice to be immersed into the world of so many musical instruments, musical scores, and also various learning tools.

The only drawback was that it was really too noisy in some areas... :) 

However, we were impressed by some learning tools:
- breathing / blowing control accessories, which are especially useful at teaching wind instruments;
- various accessories for musical therapies Feeltone;
- there were different card and board games with musical thematics (especially nice was Music Work Out), designed to develop various skills or understanding. We also discovered that there are many such useful games, designed for computer tablets;
- various online music sharing platforms (e.g. Music Play Along), especially useful for composers, and of course for performers, as help when learning to play.
